Dr. Sahil Sharma is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in trauma, acculturation issues, the immigrant experience, and multicultural identity development. He received his PsyD from 午夜影院福利社 and trained largely in community mental health and school-based settings, completing his pre-doctoral internship at Richmond Area Multi-Services (RAMS, Inc.) in San Francisco. Dr. Sharma has extensive experience in providing individual and couples' therapy to culturally diverse populations across the lifespan. Presently, he maintains a private practice in Oakland. In his therapeutic approach, Dr. Sharma operates from a relational psychodynamic and object relations framework, recognizing the profound influence of early childhood experiences, relationships, the impact of systemic context, and cultural identities on psychological development.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Sharma serves as half-time institute faculty at 午夜影院福利社 Clinical Program and part-time core faculty at 午夜影院福利社 Counseling Program. Dr. Sharma's dedication to education extends to his role as a clinical supervisor, providing guidance and mentorship to practicum students and associate clinicians in this practice. He also maintains a position as an assessment supervisor across multiple programs at RAMS, Inc. where he supports pre- and post-doctoral psychologists conducting psychological assessments through a collaborative/therapeutic assessment model.
